Table-Top Role-playing Games
I played table-top role-playing games throughout my teenage years, ever since finding a 1980s Dungeons & Dragons Basic Box set as a ten-year-old and teaching myself and my friends to play.
As an adult I lost touch with the hobby, as the rhythm of working as a freelance theatre director made it hard to commit to a group. But since 2018, I’ve thrown myself back in to TTRPGs, relishing the opportunity to create a mini piece of drama with my friends ever week (without needing to secure Arts Council funding. . .) Having played a lot of D&D my focus now is on a wider pool of games, especially horror and games exploring historical periods. My regular rotation currently includes Call of Cthulhu, Vaesen, Blades in the Dark, Blade Runner and Alien.
