Welcome

Welcome! For 20 years I was a theatre director. In that time I made shows which aimed to encourage empathy towards those marginalised by society through telling powerful stories in dynamic ways.

Now I focus my time on sharing the skills I developed in theatre with professionals as an Ethical Leadership coach and Communication Skills Trainer. If that’s of interest please visit TomWrightCoaching.

Around that I am still very much focused on my creativity, but on a smaller scale. My primary focus at the moment is on table-top role-playing games and writing fiction. You can find out about my public TTRPG work here and you can read samples of my writing, and general musings on creativity, especially the Artist’s Way books by Julia Cameron here.

If you would like to find out more about the shows I directed, two are available online:

We the challenges faced by those who claim asylum in the UK by locking the audience in a steel shipping container in the Fringe First and Amnesty International Award-winning The Container, which you can pay to view here.

During lockdown we recorded the audio play A Mother’s Voice where we contrast the experience of a new mother facing up to the reality of bringing a child up during the growing climate crisis, and a mother asking similar questions in the thick of World War Two. You can listen to the radio play and supporting materials here.
